marked 'No. 519 Scotts' Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. Ltd. Greenock', of rectangular form and mounted on wooden panel, 36cm x 51cm
Note: The plaque is from yard 519, where Scott's Shipbuilding and Engineering built the Passenger/Cargo Screw Steamer, Newchwang, in 1922.
The firm was founded in 1711 and closed in 1993. The headquarters were in Greenock, Scotland and they built over 1250 ships on the Clyde.
